The Seven Signs Of A Real Trades Person
The Seven Signs Of A Real Trades PersonAs we know, finding the Right Trader isn't always easy. There a lot of tradespeople out there who are not legal, not competent and just plain not nice. However, there are a few signs to look for that might identify a good tradesperson. Someone who will do a good job for you at a fair price. We've put a list together of seven signs that you might be onto finding the Right Trader. Any tradesman you are thinking of employing should at least have: 1. Qualifications. In gas or electrical work, it's a legal requirement. In anything else it's a big plus. For example an industry recognised such NVQ. 2. A VAT number - ask for it and make sure that it's real! 3. A well-established portfolio - ask to see some pictures, check out their website and look to see if they have nice literature, brochures etc. A sign of a successful and professional company. 4. Public liability insurance - check the amount and check the certificate. 5. Customer testimonials and references - ask for them and check them out. 6. With longevity comes experience. Check on Companies House and see how long they have been trading. 7. Offices, infrastructure and landline telephones. The sign of a legitimate, successful, professional business. Stick to the signs and you won't go far wrong! |
